Gallathea now has a lovely cast of 17 humans (at least I think they’re human – some of them do seem to have some super powers!), and rehearsals are ON. AD Frances is spending most of her week meeting with different constellations, discussing play and characters, going through plots and through a lot of tea and cake. At the moment, it is all very much about getting to know each other – a lot of touching and feeling (not in the literal sense) to build up trust, find common ground, and find a first insider joke or two.

What impressed us most so far is the incredible positive vibe from the team. Everyone is absolutely buzzing, and they just throw themselves into the challenge as if they just waited for us. It is such a joy to work with these wonderful people, and with every day, we learn from them, too. Gallathea is all about sharing our talent, and we are #blessed with this cast that is so willing and ready to give everything. Only four more months, this is going to be a great ride.

Gallathea hat nun ein Team aus 17 wunderbaren Menschen (zumindest glaube ich, dass sie Menschen sind… auch wenn einige von ihnen Superkräfte zu haben scheinen!) und die Proben sind in vollem Gange. Frances verbringt einen Großteil ihrer Woche damit, verschiedene Grüppchen zu treffen, Stück und Charaktere zu besprechen, den Plot durchzugehen und Tee und Kekse zu vernichten. Im Moment geht es noch sehr darum, dass sich alle kennen lernen – viel Abtasten (nicht wortwörtlich!), um Vertrauen aufzubauen, einen gemeinsamen Nenner zu finden, und die ersten Insider-Witze zu teilen.

Was uns bisher am meisten beeindruckt, ist die unglaubliche positive Einstellung des Teams. Alle packen richtig mit an, und werfen sich geradezu in die Herausforderungen, die wir ihnen bieten. Es macht so viel Spaß, mit unseren Leuten zu arbeiten, und jeden Tag lernen wir auch von ihnen. Es geht uns mit Gallathea darum, Können zu teilen, und wir sind absolut gesegnet mit diesem Cast, der einfach bereit ist, alles zu geben. Nur noch 4 Monate, das wird eine spannende Reise!
