After acting as a student in serious plays in German, English and French, Gabriele did, when finally in Bremen, some light comedy twice a fortnight running with the Union Theater. As a language teacher she then assisted her students in 6 highly successful contributions for the Bundeswettbewerb Fremdsprachen (three French, three English), mainly serious stuff with some English silliness. When retired, Gabriele was invited to join the French student theatre as an old lady in Rêves – very serious indeed, before she was cast in Gallathea last year.

On the Mayor of Feversham:
She is the former mayor’s widow and as an intelligent, tough and well-informed member of Faversham high society accepted as his natural successor. As such she represents the law and does not shy away from punishing those who deserve it.
